From School Runs to Small Business Dreams

Every small business has a story. Ours started somewhere between the school run and a dream that refused to stay quiet.

Bella Armadi was born out of a love for beautiful things — the kind of pieces that make a home feel intentional, warm, and uniquely yours. As a mum running between drop-offs and pick-ups, I found myself drawn to homewares and accessories that told a story: handcrafted, artisan-made, full of colour and character.

What started as a personal obsession became a business. I began sourcing pieces from makers I genuinely admired — artisans who pour care and craft into every item. From hand-embroidered jute bags to sculptural vases and beaded keyrings, each piece in the Bella Armadi collection is handpicked with intention.

Running a small business from Sydney while raising a family is not always glamorous. There are late nights, spreadsheets, and moments of doubt. But there are also the messages from customers who found the perfect gift, or who tell me a tablecloth made their dinner party feel special — and those moments make it all worthwhile.

Bella Armadi is about more than homewares. It's about the belief that a beautifully styled home — however big or small — is a form of self-expression. And that supporting small, independent businesses is a way of choosing quality, story, and soul over mass production.
